It's a Brother thing

These two boys not only look a like, but they get each other. Gavin will have Landen laughing so hard we are all busting up. Here is a moment I caught of them playing on the floor under the table...

A New Treat

Item image

These things are brilliant. I don't even know what their called, "Mesh Teether thingy-mabob," but I got them at Target (best place on earth) and all I know is that it keeps my boy happy for a long time. Of course, when a Banana is placed inside this thing, it's gonna be a messy clean up. Totally worth it!

Here is the list of loves: Frozen fruit, Bananas, Pickles, Baby Cookies & Cereal Bars! When you have 3 children that don't get teeth until their 11 months, it limits the variety of foods they can eat. This is safe and I know he won't choke on any of these foods. One less thing to worry about with a 9 1/2 month old.

Landen Laughing

I'm starting to come around and post some more events that have happened over the last 3 months. This is a video from January. Brooklyn got a blow horn from New Years, and Landen found it a hoot! He sure makes us smile.

St Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day... You know that day that almost slipped by?!

I realized the day before that I've got some work to do to make it all happen. I thought, is it worth getting all flustered trying to find my "Green" stuff around the house, and plan a fun breakfast, lunch and dinner? What was I thinking, I'm Irish, of course it's worth it. And, if my Grandma ever found out that I almost forgot to celebrate the day of the Irish, her favorite day all year, I'd be sorry. So, here it is.

The morning surprise...
Breakfast- Key Lime Yogurt, Green toast (Bread from Jack's Bakery), a greenish (maybe yellowish) pop that I won't mention because it's horrible that I even thought about giving to them.

Landen HATED the green garland. When it touched him, he screamed louder than he ever has screamed before. Poor little man.

Dinner: Green Pancakes cut in the shape of clovers, Corned Beef Hash, and Green Milk (They didn't drink it, because my kids don't like to drink colored milk. We do this every year, but they still won't drink it.)

Here's to next years St. Patrick's Day. Hopefully I'll be better prepared.

So true, so true.

This is a project Brooklyn brought home from school a few weeks ago. I've have it on my fridge, because it makes me smile. If only she knew how true this really was.

6 - 6 1/2 Months

"Dear baby, sweet baby, STOP GROWING!"

Landen is 6 1/2 months and is a pure delight in our home. He's such an easy baby. This is what my baby is into...

He rolls over from tummy to back and back to tummy. He sits up on his own. He eats baby food like crazy (no green beans or peas though). He's been rocking back and forth on all fours. He jumps like I've never seen a baby jump in his Johnny jumper. He doesn't take a pacifier, he sucks his index finger and middle finger together on his left hand. He gives mommy kisses and the best thing of all... He dances on command. We have no idea where he got this, but I must say it is the cutest thing in the whole world. I'm not kidding you, if you just look at him and say "dance" he does the cutest head move ever. And if you start humming or singing, he does the same thing. Check out the video below!

I can't imagine our home without Landen. I'm so thankful that I get to be his mommy.

Get ready for it...

Elf on the Shelf

At Thanksgiving this year, Grami'mi (my mom) found a couple little Elves at her door and gave them to Nick's family and mine. Every night the Elf would go back to the North Pole and report to Santa whether the kids were good or not. Then, every morning, the kids would find the Elf hiding in a new spot. It started on December 1st and ran all the way through Christmas Eve night. Yup, that's 24 mornings of excitement and 24 nights of remembering and thinking of new places for the Elf to be. Did you know that the stuffed Elf can't hide himself?!

Here are all the place our little man was found...

Night 2 - Hutch

Christmas 2010

We had a very nice Christmas this year. Low key, quiet, just the way we like it.

The kids decorating the cookies for Santa. (All I can say is, poor Santa. I'm sorry)

Our tree on Christmas morning...

Elf on the shelf (more information to come) was found on top of the presents from Santa.
And YES! Santa did come through for Gavin. He's still on the watch list for next year though.

Landen loved the excitement that morning. He just watched and laughed at the kids while opening presents. Santa brought him a cookie monster book.

Christmas morning 2010

Christmas Eve was spent at my parents house all day. It was the best Christmas Eve ever. The kids and their cousins got to go sledding, build a HUGE snow fort, get a snow shower from Grandpa and the snow blower, Play "Family Quizzarama" (game that Grami'mi organized, like Christmas Family Feud), Watched "Christmas Story," Opened presents, Ate a fabulous Roast Beef dinner & dessert, and home in bed by 10:00. Just in time for Santa's arrival.
