Handsome little man

Gavin got his first little tie this last weekend. I just died when I saw him in it. He'll be 3 in March and the shirt he is wearing is a 4T. He's a big boy. Doesn't he look so handsome, I just wanna eat him up!

First tie at 2 1/2? you ask. Well, he's had little vest outfits he's worn, hasn't needed a tie. But, now he got a big compliment on Sunday about how handsome he was, and boy did that make him proud. Thanks Lynn!

My moms birthday cake

A few weeks ago, my mom and I were watching some show on wedding cakes and saw the cutest little purses made out of cake for a bridal shower and I said, I wanted to make one. My mom said, yeah right! So I took it as a challenge. She didn't realize I would make one for her upcoming birthday as a suprise. Keep in mind when you look at this picture, I have no pastry training, & this was the very first time I ever used Fondant.

Don't laugh! But enjoy.

NEWS UPDATE II

Brian's Sister Michelle and her husband Tom welcomed a healthy Baby Boy on October 7th! We are soooo excited to have little Jamison Thomas Lynch in our family! Congrats Michelle, Tom and BIG SISTER Claire!!!

NEWS UPDATE

In case people don't know, my brother Nick and his wife Sarah are expecting their 4th child (due in Feb.) and we found out that after having 3 girls, the Boy is on his way!!!! Yippie, now Gavin will have a little buddy on the Izzo side to play with. Of course, Gavin and Kendyl are pretty close, he loves her to death, and she gets him like nobody else does! They both happen to be attached to Grandpa too. Lucky him!

Camping

Brian and Brooklyn had one more camp out the end of September. My brother Nick and his two oldest daughters went as well as my dad. They planned a daddy/child camping trip with some of his best friends (a close family we grew up with) and their dad as well. They camped, and the next morning they rode go-karts and went down an alpine slide. "It was a Blast," they all said. Brooklyn had so much fun, they didn't have anytime to do the girls hair. (I'm sure the mommies camping trip would have been different, but maybe not so fun.)

One more summer event

We had one more summer event that we needed to take place before it got too cold, and that happened to be Brooklyn riding her bike without training wheels. We knew she would be able to do it, because she would ride her bike without using them for a while, and it only ended up taking a few minutes to get it down. We don't have the best neighborhood to be outside riding our bikes, but we had to at least try. Here is some video of Brooklyn after only a few minutes of trying. She's great at it now, but watch how she would get off the bike instead of trying to turn around. Too cute.

Fall Follow-up

I've been in a bit of a blog slump lately. Sorry for all those who have checked up on us and your still reading about my weekend scrapbook fest. It went great. I had a wonderful time, now enough of that.

We've been busy visiting Apple and Pumpkin farms, celebrating birthdays, keeping up with school events and singing up on Facebook. Yup, we both got sucked in. Your welcome to visit our sites there anytime too.
