Looking forward to it...

Not a lot of exciting news this last week. We've been getting use to our school schedule. Gavin actually started his little Early Childhood Class for 2 & 3 year olds on Tuesday. He had so much fun. I think this will give us a little adventure during the week while Brooklyn is at her school.

I'm looking forward to this weekend. I'm going to MOA for Scrapfest, all by myself! Can you believe it? 24 hours of ideas, scrapbooking, fun and other adult women away from their kids. I'm thankful that Brian is so cool about me wanting to do events like this and being away from the family all day Saturday. I know he will have fun with the kids though, he always does. It should be a fun weekend. I'll post pictures later.

First Day and Moms a Wreck!

What a smooth morning we had. Got the kids up, Brooklyn made her bed (without me asking), she got dressed, kissed Daddy goodbye, watched cartoons, ate breakfast, brushed her teeth, answered some questions that mommy asked about her feelings today, took some pictures, drove to school, dropped her off, watched her walk into the school all by herself, and then mommy cried the whole way home. Pretty smooth for a first day! Here she is. My school girl!

So, one of my friends started a cute tradition on the first day of school. She decorats the table for her son and makes him a nice breakfast (The cute thing is he is always so nervous that he doesn't eat very much). Anyway, I loved the idea, and here is my little table set up for Brooklyn. She wanted Eggos, Strawberry Yogurt, and Milk! That's what she got! I got a little creative and made a placemat out of crayons. It turned out okay I guess.

Here she is walking up to school. "All by herself"

(Look at the size of that Backpack!)

It's here

Well, it's the night before my sweet little Brooklyn starts Kindergarten. It has been a great summer, but she has been looking forward to tomorrow for a long time. When ever I ask her if she's nervous, she says; "No, why would I be?" Hands down, I'm more nervous than she is. She'll do great, I know it. We had our Family Home evening tonight, and we started by asking her if she had any questions or concerns about school starting. She thought for a minute and said, "Nope, nothing." Then Brian gave her a Father's Blessing and I sat in amazement thinking my baby is a kindergartener! This is just as big of a milestone for me as it is her. I think I may need a blessing myself.
Here are some pictures of my little Brooklyn throughout the years. I love her so much.
