4th of July

We had such a nice 4th. Very Relaxing. Saturday morning we had a breakfast at Church, then wen't to my parents for the rest of the day. My mom is in Portland for a week, so she missed out (we missed her too). My dad took us to see Ice Age 3 in 3D. The kids liked it a lot. Gavin didn't want to keep his glasses on after 30 minutes into the movie, so I hope his eyes don't go bad because of it. Other than that, he did good.

After wards we played outside and did some early fireworks in the sun, before we made hamburgers on the grill. Then we hung out in thier back yard / Sod farm for a few hours before it got dark. We watch 3 different cities fireworks show from their backyard. It was so fun and relaxing.

Gavin however, does NOT like fireworks. Brooklyn was the same way at 3 yrs. old. We eventually got him to hold a sparkler. Here is some pictures of our fun day.

Sleeping companions

I'm sure all of you parents can relate! Walking into your childs room late at night to check on them and make sure their covers are on and they are actually in the bed to find them looking like this...

It's pretty hard keeping your composure so you dont wake them up.
Gavin got WALL-E for going #2 on the potty that day. He was not about to give it up. Brooklyn got the microphone for being patient and helping mommy throughout the day. I hate to say it, but it looks like she's in a coffin. I told you I hated saying that. It almost makes it a creepy picture. So, I'll post this one of her sleeping a few days ago...

I wonder what she was dreaming about??????
