Why can't my boy smile normal?????

I don't want to even blog about these pictures. I'm just frustrated that I can't get a decent smile from this kid. I just hope it puts a smile on your face too.

Pink Polka Dot

Brooklyn went to Build a Bear last summer with a friend for her Birthday party and this was the bear that Brooklyn picked out. It was new at the time and it was pink. That's all that mattered to Brooklyn. I've notice though, that she has a hard time finding names for her dolls or stuffed animals. For example; she named this bear, "Pink Polka Dot" not "Dotty" or "Fluffy" or even "June." Just what it is. The baby that she has had since birth and have been inseperable from is Pink and she named her...

Wait for it...

"Pink Baby."

We may need some suggestions for these dolls and animals she has lying around. Send them in if you have any!

Bumper Cars

We went to Mall of America a few weeks ago with some friends from Church and this is Gavin and Brooklyn on the Rugrats bumper cars. I had to laugh at these pictures, look at Gavin's face. He was so upset that he didn't get to drive. It looks as though he's frustrated with her driving.

Then Brooklyn got enough courage to go on the log ride with Daddy. I of course didn't want to buy the million dollar picture, but nobody stopped me from taking a picture of the picture. We were laughing all day about this shot. Look at the fear in her eyes...

This one is of our friends Mike, Adam & Anna. Their faces are priceless too. (Niki, I have a lot of pictures from this day, I will get you copies of them!)

Favorite Christmas toy ever

Well, like I said in an earlier blog, we lost lots of pictures, including our Christmas day shots. That included videos of Gavin and Brooklyn coming down stairs to see what Santa left them. Gavin's face was priceless in those videos and it breaks my heart to think, I'll never see them again. However, one of his Christmas presents puts that joy back into his eyes everyday. It's the Cars truck: "Mack" He loves him. I won't let him bring him out of the house in fear of loosing it. He's had it sit on top of the fridge once or twice too. That is never a fun punishment, but it seems to get through to him.

Time for Winter fun... Finally

We finally have had quite a few days now, where we can get out of the house and enjoy the snow. We went sledding a couple weeks ago and then again just this last week. Gavin really enjoys it. He has even braved going down the hills by himself. It's great to watch because he giggles the whole way down. Then he jumps right up and heads back up the hill. Brooklyn is definetely a girl. She loves it, but will find the tiniest little things to complain about. I have to admit, I'm the same way. The whole idea of getting out ant going sledding sounds fun, but when I'm at the hill and faced with the slope in front of me, I become a little bit of a chicken. But, this post is all about the kids. So, here ya go...

These pictures are of a hill by our house that we went to a few weeks ago. This side of the hill is for little kids, the other side of the hill has a much bigger drop.
Here is Gavin going down the hill by himself:

Delay

Sorry for the delay in updating the blog again. We recently had some issues with our computer, and I'm pretty sure we lost files and a lot of pictures. It makes me sick to think about. It was my fault, because I tried downloading an old cd with a game on it for Brooklyn, and next thing we know, the computer crashed. Brian has worked pretty hard to get it recovered, but in doing so, a lot of the new files and pictures from December on are gone. Can anyone say, BLAH!
