Well, I woke up this morning to sounds of a chain saw (literally) cutting down the big tree that sits right in front of our town house. This was no trimming of branches that I thought they would be doing. The whole tree is gone. It was our privacy from the major road in front of our house, not to mention a great shade tree to keep out the roasting sun in our windows during the summer. We are so sad. A little angry too, but it's gone, can't bring it back. We still have no idea what the association plans on doing either. A little communication would have been nice. Anyway, check out the pictures it took!

Wow! What a difference, even without any leaves on it. I can imagine in the summer what a change it will be. You could go tree-hugger on their butts and send the Sierra Club *shudder* after them or just issue a formal complaint. Maybe you can get some fancy blinds that block out noise and sun or something like that. We all know how creative you are (and you just proved it with your cake) so I'm sure you'll come up with a great alternative.
Yeah, that blows about your tree. Our neighbors cut down a huge tree with Dutch elm disease three years ago and their house still looks sad to me, and it's not even my house! Ryan says thanks for the joke you sent him!
