Guess Who's 8

Well Brooklyn's big day of anticipation finally arrived. We celebrated her birthday on Saturday and Sunday this year (Actual b-day was Sunday). Saturday we went to the Mall of America. It was Brooklyn, me, Grandma Head & Grami'mi'. This was the day that she was getting her American Girl that she has been wanting and waiting patiently for for months (years really).

First we went to "Scoops, Kid Salon" where she got a manicure. She was going to get a Pedicure too, but we were running a little late that morning since we ended up getting our first snow fall of the season that day and the roads were horrible. It took us over an hour to get to the mall. We missed our scheduled appointment, but they got us right in. We decided to skip the pedicure so we could eat lunch and get to American Girl.

We weren't at the American Girl store more than 3 minutes and Brooklyn had her doll in her arms. It was a my american girl doll with Brown layered hair, Brown Eyes, & medium skin. She named her Rebecca. (That's Brooklyn's middle name) She had a grin from ear to ear ALL day. It was the best gift a girl could ever have gotten.

For dinner we went to Red Lobster. Brooklyn's favorite restaurant. She loves the popcorn shrimp. That's my girl. It was our family, my parents and Brian's parents. We had a great night then came home for some yummy cake.
