I couldn't let one of the most important dates of the year pass by without bragging about the Father of my children.
My Brian, so sweet, loving, dedicated, caring, honest, faithful, lovable, handsome, kind, compasionate, understanding, valiant priesthood holder of a man! My Brian.
He didn't know that I heard him talking to his father tonight, and telling him what a wonderful father that he was to him and the only memories of his childhood are positive and even now, his Father means more to him than before. I too need to Thank Grant. He has raised and taught his son the most divine principles that every young man should have. He raised a righteous priesthood holder that loves his wife and kids, provides for them, and builds a home with the spirit. I am so lucky to have my Brian as an example to our children. I know that they will be happy and loved their whole life. They have a Daddy that will always be there for them. A Daddy who is patient. A Daddy who loves the Gospel of Jesus Christ and strives to live it.
I love you so much Brian.
Story:
So, this morning, I had gotten Brian's breakfast all set up. We bought him a donut the night before and I had set it out on the plate then got distracted with Brooklyn, so I left the kitchen. A minute later Gavin walks in with his face like this...
I said, "Oh boy," and walked into the kitchen to find this...
He has his two little finger marks in it.
Can you blame the little sweetheart? It looks pretty good doesn't it?!
(The poster board card is what Brooklyn made from out Ward Primary Activity)
Did you actually think I wasn't going to say something about my own Dad? I have to pause a minute and wipe away my tears. I can't not cry when I think of my Dad. He is just something so special to me. You could definetely call me a Daddy's girl. I loved growing up helping my dad in the garage, or going to work with him on a Saturday morning, or going out for Phosphates on Thursday nights. When I look back at my childhood, my Dad did everything to make sure I was provided for, healthy, and happy. When I think of the joy on my childrens face when they are with Grandpa, brings back great memories of my own childhood. I love him and I am so thankful for his support in my life. Hugs and Kisses Dad

I can't not shed a tear, myself, Mia. You know how to use a double negative the right way, and I'm touched and can't not either. We love you!
Happy Father's Day Brian! You are the coolest dad! And of course Mia is right about all the good she said about you. What is a better present than two finger digs through the frosting on your donut :) And with his cute face I'm sure he didn't get in trouble for it. The candy bar message is very cute Brooklyn!
Mia, your Dad looks so different than I remember him. He looks more like Nick to me now. I always remember you being a daddy's girl. You're so cute!
What a beautiful post! I feel bad not paying tribute to Andrew.
About the contacts...Half the reason I look as good as I do in the pictures I have posted is..
A. I have actually done my hair and makeup and
B. I control the blog, no picture is posted of me that doesn't pass strick inspection!
I am still working on finding the best contacts, but I have a pair I can pull out for special occasions.
That was so tender Mia - you made me cry! Brian is so lucky to have such a loving wife. And I would have to agree with you on everything you said about him - Brian is a pretty special and awesome guy. Happy Father's Day Brian!!
I love the "secret picture" on your blog. ;-) Also, very nice tribute to the men in your life.
Well, don't I feel like a smuck. I have not check the family blog for a few days and Mia goes and writes these beautiful words about me, my father and her father for Father's Day. Thanks honey, you are so sweet. I love you, Brian
